¿Es Confiable este Ministerio?
~ Aprobación Eclesial ~

Are all the materials produced by Terry Modica and offered on the Good News Ministries websites as well as Catholic Digital Resources™ truly Roman Catholic, orthodox in its theology, and in keeping with the teachings of the Church Magisterium?

Although an imprimatur is impossible due to the ever-growing number of writings available here and the fluid nature of many of these resources, rest assured that Church authority does oversee and approve of Terry’s writings. She has been vetted by her bishop in the Diocese of St. Petersburg as a speaker, Good News Ministries has been approved for inclusion in The Official Catholic Directory (The Kennedy Directory), and

… here’s what priests and a bishop have said:

The contents of [Terry Modica’s] Good News Reflections inspire my prayer life and preparation in preaching the Good News of the Gospel. They are ‘down to earth’, informative, excitingly inspiring (appealing to both the mind and the heart), obviously bearing the fruit of much prayer and reflection. Her insights can break open the mysteries of our faith in a challenging and refreshing manner so that one desires to become a better Catholic.

There need be no fear about any lack of orthodoxy or anything opposing the Teaching of the Magisterium of the Church. Terry’s work reflects her being a committed Catholic and one who is painstakingly conscientious about the contents of her work.

The Church is blessed to have Terry Modica’s Good News Reflections [which are used in the Breaking Open of the Word of Faith for RCIA and faith sharing groups, bulletin inserts, and leaflets for special feast days].

It is almost now one year since I have received different materials from this ministry. And I must say that I find the materials so fitting to use for reflections during Mass celebrations, but also for faith sharing. And so I would encourage other ministers who find it difficult to get fitting material for the sharing, to consider taking a closer look at these — you never know, it could be a revelation to your faith community, but also to your personal life.

As most of the time I am busy in the university with my studies and I come home to prepare for the next morning Mass for my community, I can confess to you that this resource has been a handful one but also very enriching spiritually to the community I serve here at University of Kwazulu Natal – Rep. South Africa.

May God Bless this ministry for many years to come!

Rev. Fr. Tony Agius
Mary Immaculate, Mother of the Church, Parish

My parish is in Ibrag that is a suburb in Malta. It was established as a parish in 1998, and I am the third Parish Priest of this parish. Previously, I was parish priest of the adjoining town St. Julians where I spent 17 years. From there I was moved to the Cana Movement where I spent 3 years till the archbishop assigned me to this parish.

Dear Mrs Modica,
I’ve been reading your daily commentaries on the liturgy readings for a long time now. I feel I must thank God for the gifts He’s given you to apply the sacred words of scripture for everyday life. I find them very inspiring personally and often set me thinking as to how I must strive to put into practise what I’m supposed to preach.

I read a number of daily thoughts and retreats to help me pass on the Lord’s message for the day to the daily congregation that turns up for Mass, but I must say your daily contributions are something I look forward to and make use of! I hope to God you keep on this apostleship through the net.

Considering that all through these daily thoughts you have always exposed to the readers sound Catholic doctrine, I was a bit surprised to come to know that you came to the Catholic fold as a mature adult, but God works in mysterious ways.

I have saved all the past reflections on my PC and I often recommend them to my fellow priests when we have retreats or ‘live ins’ for parish priests.
